AmsOil Racing News: Supercross motorcycle racing

In the company’s first foray into its Official Oil sponsorship of Monster Energy Supercross, AMSOIL can deem the Anaheim opener a success.

The synthetic lubricant manufacturer headed into the first round with a new look and a new message that it was eager to share with the 45,000 plus fans in attendance at Angels Stadium of Anaheim. “Move up to AMSOIL” was the theme inside the hugely successful Pit Party as fans stormed the gates at 12:30 on Saturday afternoon, looking for the latest in motorcycle racing, news and products.

AMSOIL, which will be giving away a race-ridden Kevin Windham Honda CRF 450 this year, was on hand to work with fans of all interest. (Please note that you must attend a Supercross event to find out how to win.)
“The support of AMSOIL at Anaheim was an excellent start to the new year and the new partnership with Feld Motorsports,” said AMSOIL Race Program Manager Jeremy Meyer.

Team AMSOIL was also competitive on the track in Anaheim. K-Dub started the Supercross class final in second place and battled with the lead back through the checkered flag, finishing sixth on the night.

Eli Tomac showed off his skill and determination by overcoming a slow start of 19th to finish tenth in the Supercross Lites main on board his Geico/Honda/AMSOIL ride. Wil Hahn was unable to participate after a severe crash during practice.
